Welcome to RAJAKLANA – Where Nature and Art Live in Harmony
RAJAKLANA presents a green living concept that offers an ultimate comfortable stay in spacious private villas, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. Here, tranquility meets elegance, allowing guests to reconnect with the natural environment while enjoying refined comfort.
Our resort features distinctive stone houses and wooden houses, thoughtfully designed to blend nature and art in perfect harmony. Each villa is built with love and craftsmanship, using only the finest natural materials, including centuries-old wood and more than fifty varieties of natural stones. The architectural concept provides an alternative to traditional Jogjakarta Joglo and modern styles, creating a unique identity while preserving and enhancing the natural landscape rather than altering it.
The name RAJAKLANA was chosen to reflect universality—free from associations with tribe, religion, or race—aligning with Indonesia’s spirit of diversity. Inspired by the famous song Rayuan Pulau Kelapa, where the word Rajaklana is mentioned, the name carries two powerful meanings: a wandering king, and one whose passion is wandering. Both meanings symbolize freedom, exploration, and a majestic journey through life and nature.
We selected this location to offer a peaceful retreat away from the bustle of the city. Situated on one of the nearest hills to the heart of Yogyakarta, RAJAKLANA is blessed with cool mountain air and breathtaking scenery—an ideal place for guests to immerse themselves in calmness and natural beauty. Our vision is for RAJAKLANA to become one of the finest resorts in Yogyakarta.
The concept of RAJAKLANA was born from extensive exploration across Indonesia—Jakarta, Puncak, Yogyakarta, Central Java, Malang, Bali, Lombok, and Raja Ampat—as well as global inspirations gathered from around the world. These journeys shaped our desire to create a resort that stands apart, offering a truly distinctive experience. RAJAKLANA was officially established on January 11, 2015.
We are committed to continuously growing and evolving through professional, innovative, and distinctive management. Guided by a spirit of constant improvement, we strive to develop new ideas, enhance existing concepts, and create meaningful experiences—while maintaining harmony with the surrounding environment and local community.
